Job summary

The State of West Virginia is seeking a Transportation DMV Specialist Lead to supervise front-line staff at the DMV Headquarters and support the Vehicle Services Section. You will assist in planning, assigning, and reviewing work, and you will train staff in new processes while handling complex issues.

This permanent, full-time role emphasizes leadership, accountability, and helping the division deliver efficient customer service across the DMV.

Qualifications

• Three years of full-time experience in public contact work, sales, cashiering, or bookkeeping, or two years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience with the DMV.
• College credit substitutions may be used according to an established formula.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in planning, assigning, and reviewing work of employees.
• Oversee DMV Specialists in the Headquarters and approve leave.
• Train employees in new work methods and orientation.
• Handle unusual and complex issues related to the work unit.
