Job summary

West Virginia DMV is seeking a Transportation DMV Regional Office Assistant Manager to supervise DMV Agents in a Regional Office. The role includes scheduling, office open/close, audits, and applying policies and regulations.

The incumbent will assist customers with driver/vehicle transactions and ensure accurate documentation, with some travel required. The position requires a bachelor’s degree and four years of experience, including two in supervisory duties, with a valid driver’s license for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in bookkeeping, sales, cashiering or related public contact work; two years in an administrative or supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the activities of DMV Agents in a Regional Office.
• Schedule employees, assign work, and manage daily office openings and closings.
• Audit transactions and verify funds at close of business.
• Explain state laws, policies, and procedures to customers.
• Review and interpret state codes, policies, and procedures.
• Administer knowledge/skills tests for driver’s license issuance.
• reconciles funds and inventory; handle voids.
• Travel may be required with a valid driver's license.
