Job summary

The State of West Virginia DMV is seeking a Transportation DMV Specialist Lead who will oversee DMV Specialists at the Division of Motor Vehicles Headquarters, assisting the supervisor with planning and reviewing work, and approving leave. This exempt, at-will role handles unusual and complex issues while training staff and ensuring efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from standard high school or the equivalent.
• Three (3) years of full-time experience in public contact work, sales, cashiering, or bookkeeping, or two years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience with the Division of Motor Vehicles.
• College credit from an accredited college or university, business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
• All applicants must consent to fingerprinting and a criminal background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the DMV Specialists in the Division of Motor Vehicles Headquarters, assisting the supervisor in planning, assigning, and reviewing work.
• Handle unusual and complex issues related to the assigned work unit, and train employees in new work methods and orientation.
