Rhode Island Department of Revenue seeks a Customer Service Representative I (DMV) to review and process motor vehicle registrations, renewals, and transfers using a computerized system. The role handles taxes, fees, and funds, while assisting the public with inquiries and guidance.

The position requires basic math, strong customer service, and comfortable use of data entry applications. Work hours are 8:30 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday, in the Woonsocket area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills and data entry.
• Ability to handle money and process transactions.

Responsibilities

• Review and process motor vehicle registration applications using a computerized system.
• Receive taxes, fees and other monies for motor vehicle transactions.
• Deal with the public on an ongoing basis and provide information.
• Verify compliance with title laws and issue registration documents as required.
