Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Financial Responsibility, is hiring a Financial Responsibility Data Control Clerk to monitor, review, and process motor vehicle documentation with accuracy.

This full-time, non-exempt position located in Concord requires data-entry skills, strong customer service, and flexibility for varied schedules; thorough training will be provided and successful applicants must pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and work experience after completion of high school.
• Must pass fingerprint-based background and motor vehicle record checks.
• May require flexible schedule including early morning, evenings and/or weekend hours.
• May travel throughout the state to satellite offices.

Responsibilities

• Review the accuracy and authenticity of documentation for DMV transactions.
• Provide first-rate customer service to the public and DMV partners.
• Enter pertinent information into DMV databases and capture source documents.
• Respond to non-routine inquiries and perform problem-solving.
• Process and complete motor vehicle transactions with correct fees and receipts.
• Maintain cash drawer and petty cash and ensure daily accuracy.
