Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a DME Technician to deliver, set up, inspect, and retrieve durable medical equipment and supplies for patients in adherence with policies and procedures.

You will educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on safe equipment use, complete all required documentation, assist with inventory and warehouse operations, and participate in on-call and after-hours coverage as needed while maintaining HIPAA and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, inspect, and retrieve durable medical equipment and medical supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on the safe and proper use of equipment.
• Complete all required delivery, service, maintenance, and billing documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform equipment cleaning, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Verify patient and delivery information and obtain required signatures and documentation.
• Assist with inventory control, equipment tracking, cycle counts, and warehouse organization.
• Load, unload, and transport equipment safely while maintaining compliance with company safety standards.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Provide exceptional customer service and respond professionally to patient concerns and service requests.
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and after-hours coverage as required.
• Maintain compliance with all company, state, federal, HIPAA, and accreditation requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
