Job summary

Coastal Home Health & Hospice, Inc. seeks a DME Service Technician to deliver and set up durable medical equipment at patients' homes. You will educate patients on safe use and assist with route planning and inventory control.

This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, adherence to DOT/FDA and HIPAA regulations, and accurate completion of paperwork to ensure timely, safe home deliveries.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and professional office etiquette.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Proficiency in English spelling and grammar.
• Familiarity with various filing systems (alphabetical, numerical, chronological).
• Basic math skills as part of daily tasks.
• Knowledge of medical office practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver DME and supplies per patient plan of care.
• Load equipment onto delivery vehicle and ensure safety.
• Provide patient education on use, maintenance and safety.
• Maintain route sheets and inventory; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Ensure proper segregation of clean and dirty equipment in warehouse and on vehicle.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and keep storage areas organized.
