Job summary

Freeman is looking for a dedicated team member to educate customers on proper and safe use of home medical equipment and related supplies. The role involves assisting with insurance verification, billing documentation, and order processing for delivery of products and services.

You will work in a full-time capacity, interacting with patients and physicians to ensure accurate information and timely support after regular hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a health care organization.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance payor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Educates customers on proper and safe usage of home medical equipment, including oxygen, small volume nebulizers, ostomy, diabetic, and wound care.
• Verifies information for accuracy and completes required documentation for billing and delivery.
• Handles customer complaints and resolves issues.
• Assists with ordering/restocking inventory and processes referrals and new orders for billing and delivery in a timely fashion.

Can trouble shoot equipment problems over the phoneAccesses customer needs, measures customers for custom fit, explains safety issues. Responsible for verifying information is correctKeeps current on medicare, medicaid, and insurance payor requirements for equipment and supplies and is able to explain the coverage to customers. Calls insurance for verification as neededHandles customer complaints to resolve issuesAssists with ordering/restocking inventory.
