Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Ohio is seeking a Salesperson to support the DIY customer base with parts lookup, battery testing, and wiper installations. This entry-level role can be part-time or full-time and emphasizes friendly communication and basic automotive knowledge.

You will handle in-store sales, inventory duties, and service activities while maintaining product standards. Shift flexibility and basic math are expected, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Basic automotive knowledge and familiarity with parts lookup systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly and build relationships with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
• Operate POS and Parts lookup systems.
• Expert at testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.
