Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Salesperson to support the DIY business and achieve sales objectives in a fast-paced retail environment in Ohio. This entry-level role requires basic product knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work varied shifts. Expect duties in sales, service, inventory, and occasional parts delivery.

The position can be part-time or full-time, with safety certifications preferred and opportunities to grow within the store operations.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus) and communicate effectively with customers, peers and management
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately for transactions and inventory
• Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed
• 2–3 years of successful sales experience in retail environments

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store achieve its sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Handle inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Keep store clean and well organized, including floors, bathrooms, parking lot
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
