REI Co-op is seeking a Divisional Vice President of Store Operations to shape how stores operate today and prepare for the future. You will turn enterprise and Stores strategy into clear priorities, measurable plans, and simple operating practices that drive results.

You will lead the Store Operations team, align with Stores and Finance, and ensure strong performance, safety, and exceptional customer experience across the field.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior leadership experience in multi-unit retail or similar complex environments.
• Experience leading large-scale operating strategy, execution, and transformation with measurable outcomes.
• Deep knowledge of store operations, retail models, and performance management.
• Strong business and financial judgment, budgeting, and investment review.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and align cross-functional partners.
• Experience building and leading teams with clear roles and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy and operating model for store operations, including routines and labor practices.
• Translate enterprise goals into focused plans with clear measures and rhythms.
• Improve operational, financial, customer, and safety outcomes.
• Lead annual and long-range planning, budgets, and investment recommendations.
• Guide large-scale change: technology, digital tools, automation, and new practices.
• Build an inclusive, high-performing Store Operations team with data and partnerships.
