Qualifications

• Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) is required.
• Five to seven years of legal experience and/or training.
• Licensed attorney in good standing with state bar associations.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on land acquisition, land use, entitlement, zoning and development.
• Review and draft contracts, title and development documents; coordinate with title companies and municipalities.
• Review homebuyer contracts and advise on RESPA, FHA/VA and home sale issues.
• Review HOA documents and advise on HOA issues; review marketing contracts.
• Assist in managing division litigation with outside counsel and related proceedings.
• Advise HR on employment policies, training and safety programs (OSHA).
• Review subcontractor contracts; handle disputes and provide construction/warranty advice.
• Handle customer disputes; coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
