Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. is seeking a Diving Superintendent to lead commercial diving operations on complex projects in Minnesota.

You will plan and oversee dive plans, supervise divers and surface teams, coordinate staffing and equipment, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance with OSHA and company policies. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication with project teams and clients, and the ability to manage multiple underwater construction activities while maintaining schedule

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited commercial diving school or equivalent commercial/military diving training program.
• Minimum of five years of commercial diving, marine construction, or related experience preferred.
• Current dive physical or ability to successfully complete required dive physical.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, reports, plans, specifications, and legal documents.
• Knowledge of commercial diving equipment, procedures, maintenance, and safety practices.
• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel spreadsheets, iPad and iPhone.
• Ability to communicate and schedule project needs appropriately.
• Good communication and ability to work with all levels of management and employees, external vendors and other business associates.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee diving operations to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate staffing, equipment, materials, and resources for dive projects.
• Develop and execute safe dive plans in coordination with project teams and clients.
• Ensure OSHA and company safety procedures are followed and documentation is maintained.
