Job summary

Veit & Company is seeking a Diving Superintendent to lead and oversee commercial diving operations, ensuring work is safe, efficient, and compliant with project requirements. You will coordinate dive crews, plan dive operations, monitor schedules and costs, read construction documents, and mentor field personnel while maintaining rigorous safety standards.

The role requires knowledge of diving equipment, procedures, and safety practices, plus strong leadership and communication skills to work

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited commercial diving school or equivalent training.
• Minimum of five years of commercial diving, marine construction, or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial diving equipment, procedures, maintenance, and safety practices.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, reports, plans, specifications, and legal documents.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Good communication and ability to work with all levels of management and employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of diving operations to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.
• Plan, organize, and oversee dive operations, including development and execution of dive plans.
• Lead and coordinate dive crews and surface support personnel.
• Coordinate staffing, equipment, materials, and other resources for diving operations.
• Read site plans and project documents to plan and perform work.
• Maintain diving documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards.
