Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks a Diverse Learners Teacher to instruct and support students with diverse needs. You will collaborate with case managers, counselors, and teachers to provide individualized education aligned with IEP guidelines and CPS frameworks.

The role requires an Illinois LBS1 endorsement, a bachelor's degree, and completion of CPS onboarding. You will contribute to a safe, inclusive classroom culture and engage families in students' progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Valid Illinois State Board of Education teaching license with LBS1 endorsement.
• Complete CPS online application and teaching profile cps.edu/teach.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, progress and track students with appropriate discipline in assigned classes.
• Collaborate with case managers, counselors and general education teachers to meet student needs.
• Design engaging instruction and assessments aligned to IEPs and district goals.
• Demonstrate strong oral/written communication and professional judgment with staff and families.
• Prioritize student safety and promote equitable, culturally responsive learning.
