Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks a Diverse Learners Teacher to provide instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs. You will work under the school principal to monitor progress, implement IEP goals, and maintain classroom discipline.

The role requires an Illinois teaching license (LBS1 endorsement), a bachelor's degree or higher, and completion of the CPS online application and teaching profile.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• A valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education, endorsed for the role (LBS1).
• Completion of the CPS online application and teaching profile.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, progress, track, and discipline all students in assigned classes under the principal's supervision.
• Set goals for IEPs in accordance with Illinois guidelines.
• Collaborate with case managers, counselors, and general education teachers to support student success.
