Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Diverse Learners Teacher to join our urban district. You will instruct, track progress, and manage discipline across assigned classes under the principal’s supervision.

The role requires a valid Illinois teaching license with LBS1 endorsement, a bachelor’s degree or higher, and collaboration with case managers, counselors, and general education teachers to meet individualized education plan goals and promote student wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Valid Illinois teaching license with LBS1 endorsement.

Responsabilités

• Within CPS Teaching Framework, refine teaching practice and demonstrate content knowledge.
• Create a respectful classroom culture with strong management of student behaviors and procedures.
• Design engaging instruction with appropriately challenging questions and assessments.
• Exhibit strong oral and written communication and professional judgment.
• Prioritize student safety and equity in instruction.
