Joshua ISD is seeking an on-site Technical Support Specialist to install and maintain computer equipment and network systems across the district. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure software and hardware operate reliably at the JISD Administration Building.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and about one year of relevant experience. Strong hardware, software, and network cabling skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year work experience installing, maintaining, and repairing computers and peripherals.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.
• Ability to install, maintain, and repair computers and peripherals.
• Ability to install and maintain network cables and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade computers and peripherals district-wide.
• Install network cabling and network peripherals district-wide.
• Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed.
• Install and configure software as needed.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of data communications circuits and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment, including printers, terminals, and PCs.
• Service equipment according to preventive maintenance schedule and keep records.
• Maintain records of time and materials for repairs and service.
• Follow safety procedures: lifting, climbing, carrying; report unsafe conditions.
