Job summary

ONALASKA INDEP SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a District Technician in Onalaska, Texas to support technology across multiple campuses. You will diagnose and repair computer hardware and software, install and maintain equipment, and respond to service requests to keep instructional technology running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of technical support, with knowledge of hardware, software, and networking.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.
• Knowledge of computer workstation setup.
• Ability to analyze and resolve computer hardware and software problems.
• Knowledge of technologies available for use in instruction setting.
• Ability to diagnose and repair computer and technology equipment.
• One year technical support experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to district faculty and staff for use of equipment including computer hardware and software.
• Provide immediate on-site assistance to district staff with technology problems and questions.
• Assist in performing upgrades to software and hardware.
• Install and upgrade computers and peripherals through the district.
• Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed.
• Install and configure software as needed.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of networking equipment.
• Route technology request to Technology Department employees/technicians.
• Diagnose and repair equipment.
• Maintain equipment records for maintenance and inventory.
