Core Linen Services is seeking a District Route Manager to oversee route delivery and service operations from Gilroy, California. This hands-on leadership role manages route drivers, supports operations, and ensures consistent, high-quality service for existing customers.

The District Route Manager builds strong customer relationships, oversees route performance, and collaborates on pricing and service solutions, focusing on existing accounts rather than new business development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in route operations, transportation, logistics, customer service, or related field.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service & relationship-building skills.
• Ability to coach and hold employees accountable.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience in linen rental, laundry, healthcare service, distribution, or route-based service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support route drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and professional service.
• Oversee daily route operations, schedules, coverage, and delivery performance.
• Conduct regular ride-alongs and field observations with drivers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Serve as a key point of contact for customer service needs, concerns, billing questions, and escalations.
• Partner with existing customers to evaluate service levels, product needs, and pricing.
• Identify opportunities to improve service, route efficiency, and account profitability.
• Monitor route performance, labor utilization, delivery accuracy, and service metrics.
• Partner with plant operations and internal teams to meet customer expectations.
• Promote and enforce safety, DOT requirements, vehicle inspection standards, and safe driving practices.
• Assist with recruiting, training, coaching, performance management, and development of route team members.
• Maintain accurate route, customer, vehicle, and employee documentation.
