Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Area Manager to plan and lead the activities of all stores within the assigned area, with full P&L responsibility and adherence to company objectives. You will drive sales growth, optimize inventory, and ensure excellent customer service.

This role requires weekly travel in a company-provided vehicle, a current driver's license, and a strong track record in multi-store retail management.

Qualifications

• Four+ years retail management experience with progressively more responsibility and full P&L responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel weekly in a company-provided vehicle.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead store teams by enforcing Dollar General's mission, values, and policies.
• Drive area sales growth to meet or exceed targets through quality orders and efficient flow processes.
• Oversee inventory presentation and management across stores to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Plan and execute company objectives and maximize productivity through effective scheduling.
• Recruit, develop, and educate employees while ensuring loss prevention and cost controls.
• Identify new business opportunities within the operational area, including merchandising and real estate considerations.
• Communicate divisional and regional priorities clearly to store teams.
