Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Area Manager to plan and lead activities across stores in the assigned region, with full P&L responsibility and adherence to company objectives. You will cultivate a culture aligned with Dollar General's mission, drive sales growth, and ensure effective inventory and staffing decisions.

The role requires leading multi-store teams, rigorous budgeting, and proactive recruitment to maximize performance while protecting assets.

Qualifications

• Four+ years retail management experience with progressively more responsibility, managing multi-unit operations with full P&L responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Big-box retail management and/or equivalent education and experience combination will be considered.

• Protect company assets through loss prevention and expense efficiencies.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the area (distribution flow, merchandising, store growth, real estate, recruitment strategy, training).
• Communicate divisional and regional priorities to store teams.
