Job summary

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries in Cincinnati is seeking a District Director to lead multiple stores, drive profitability, and uphold our mission. You will mentor store managers, manage budgets, and ensure operational excellence across the district.

This role requires strategic planning, strong customer service, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Availability for after-hours and weekend needs is expected to address urgent matters and maintain brand standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• At least five years multi-unit retail management experience with full profit and loss responsibility.
• Self-starter who is highly engaged, organized, goal focused and strategic in planning priorities.
• Understanding of both front of house and back of house operations.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for work.
• Proficiency with MS applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and POS systems.
• Experience developing top performers and teams.
• Excellent customer service and employee relations skills.
• Ability to work with staff at all levels and adapt to change.
• At least two years of experience developing and managing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee district retail operations and ensure budget and sales goals are achieved.
• Train and cultivate strong store managers and teams.
• Protect brand and extend culture and values across stores in the district.
• Develop and implement strategies, staffing and procedures to optimize donations and maximize sales.
• Deliver key performance indicators across stores: sizing, service, contributions, and online sales.
• Coach and develop leaders through mentoring and accountability.
• Drive morale through rewards and recognition; maintain scheduling, visuals, and inventory.
• Ensure a safe, compliant environment and maintain safety culture.
