Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a District Pharmacy Operations Leader to supervise and optimize retail pharmacy operations across the assigned district. You will drive profitability, champion patient-centered care, and ensure compliance with laws and company policies while leading a team of Pharmacy Managers and staff.

You will collaborate with senior leadership to forecast district performance, develop improvement plans, and recruit and develop pharmacy talent across stores.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• 3 years of retail pharmacy management experience.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the assigned geography, or willing and able to obtain state licensure within 6 months of position start date.
• Willing to obtain Immunization Certification within 6 months of hire date.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willing to travel up/at least 80% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Responsibilities

• Supervise retail pharmacy operations within assigned district.
• Lead recruitment, development and performance of Pharmacy Managers and staff.
• Drive profitability and growth while controlling costs, including payroll and expenses.
• Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, company policies and patient safety standards.
• Partner with District Manager, Regional Vice President and Sr. District Pharmacy Supervisor to develop improvement plans.
• Oversee talent acquisition and development for Pharmacy Managers, staff pharmacists and technicians.
