Job summary

Walgreens in the United States seeks a district pharmacy leader responsible for supervising retail pharmacy operations across assigned stores. You will ensure legal and policy compliance, deliver patient centered care, and drive pharmacy profitability and growth through data-driven action plans and initiatives.

The role oversees Pharmacy Managers, staff pharmacists, technicians, and scheduling, guiding recruitment, development and performance.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• 3 years of retail pharmacy management experience.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the assigned geography, or willing and able to obtain state licensure within 6 months of position start date.
• Willing to obtain Immunization Certification within 6 months of hire date.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willing to travel up/at least 80% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Responsibilities

• Supervise pharmacy operations and personnel within assigned district.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies; maintain patient safety and quality care.
• Drive profitability and cost management through analysis and initiatives.
• Manage staffing, recruiting, development, and performance of Pharmacy Managers and staff.
• Monitor KPIs and partner with leaders to develop improvement plans.
• Oversee scheduling and payroll management.
• Provide monthly quality and compliance summaries.
• Support talent acquisition and relationship with local schools.
