Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover pharmacy scheduling gaps and support store teams across the district. As a DSP, you will help manage dispensing, counseling, immunizations, and patient care under the Pharmacy Manager's direction.

You will travel within a reasonable radius to fill shifts, oversee pharmacy operations, and ensure safe, compliant patient service while coaching staff on best practices and insurance issues.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts and oversee the pharmacy as the proxy to the Pharmacy Manager.
• Supporting safe prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Assists with day-to-day duties as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy when on duty.
• Coaches the pharmacy team to provide compassionate care and resolve insurance issues.
