Job summary

Tennessee Valley Hospitality LLC, dba Skull Island- seeks a District Manager to oversee operations across an assigned recreation area within our island destination. You will train hosts, supervise maintenance, manage schedules, and ensure facility upkeep, safety, and compliance with standards.

You will lead a team, coordinate with public agencies, resolve visitor issues, and contribute to smooth, enjoyable guest experiences during the 2027 season.

• Flexible, adaptable and resilient.
• Prior personnel management experience a plus.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and learn quickly.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversees general operations within an assigned area and ensures compliance with standards.
• Trains hosts and maintenance personnel and develops effective working relationships.
• Assists in training workshops and safety tailgate meetings.
• Maintains good relationships with staff, government representatives, and visitors.
• Handles visitor complaints and rules violations courteously and effectively.
• Troubleshoots operational issues and responds to situations as they occur.
• Suggests improvements to streamline operations.
• Performs/manual labor tasks and may supervise maintenance tasks.
• Participates in fee collection, facility and grounds maintenance, and utility testing as needed.
• Manages deposits, revenues records, and reports.
• Collects time cards and submits summaries to Operations Manager.
• Reports unsafe conditions and enforces company standards.
• Fills in for hosts during breaks, sick leaves and vacations.
