Job summary

Blank Street in Boston is seeking an Operations Manager to grow people and lead a district of cafés. You will hire, coach, and develop General Managers, helping them become confident leaders who build engaged, high‑performing teams across our stores.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or another fast-growing consumer business
• Experience leading multiple locations and developing managers
• Ability to travel regularly between stores within your market
• Strong operational, financial, and business acumen

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and develop a team of General Managers across stores
• Lead labor planning, scheduling, and staffing strategies across your district
• Own the district's financial performance, including sales, labor, and profitability
• Use data and insights to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement
• Partner with HQ teams to implement new initiatives, launches, and operational improvements
• Maintain operational excellence, food safety, cleanliness, and brand standards
• Spend time in stores coaching teams and leading by example
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to share best practices and optimize processes
• Develop the next generation of Blank Street leaders
• Travel regularly between stores within your market to lead by example
