Job summary

Blank Street is seeking an Operations Manager to lead café operations across Washington, DC and Philadelphia. You’ll hire, coach, and develop General Managers, building high-performing teams and a culture of accountability, hospitality, and continuous learning.

You’ll own district financials, labor, and customer experience, partnering with HQ on new initiatives and improvements. This is a hands-on, travel-friendly leadership role requiring 5+ years of operational leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of operational leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or a fast-growing consumer business.
• Experience leading multiple locations and developing managers.
• Willingness to travel regularly between stores across Washington, DC and Philadelphia.
• Strong operational, financial, and business acumen.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, collaborative leadership style capable of coaching and leading through change.
• Passion for hospitality, developing people, and creating exceptional customer experiences.
• Curious, positive, and committed to continuous learning and growth.

Responsibilities

• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of General Managers across stores.
• Champion exceptional hospitality and uphold Blank Street's service standards.
• Lead labor planning, scheduling, and staffing strategies across the district.
• Own the district's financial performance including sales and profitability.
• Use data to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with HQ to implement initiatives and operational improvements.
• Lead through change with clarity, urgency, and empathy in a fast-paced business.
• Develop the next generation of Blank Street leaders.
