Job summary

Tulsa Public Schools is seeking an Executive Director of Operations to lead facilities, child nutrition, and transportation. The role directs the Directors of Facilities, Child Nutrition, and Transportation and drives a multi-year operational strategy.

The Executive Director ensures robust controls, reporting, and systems to operate efficiently, oversees vendor contracts and labor negotiations, and represents the district in partnerships and external affairs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Seven years of progressive senior management experience.
• Experience in financial planning and management.
• Experience with community organizations and public officials.
• Experience managing complex public school operations projects.
• Experience in a school district or public agency preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides organizational leadership and long-term strategic oversight to facilities, child nutrition, and transportation.
• Directly supervises the Directors of Facilities, Child Nutrition, and Transportation.
• Measures and improves the effectiveness of all processes within the Operations division.
• Represents the district in vendor contracts, labor negotiations, and community partnerships involving non-instructional staff.
• Collaborates across the district to build the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel.
