Job summary

Indianapolis Public Schools is seeking an Executive Director of Operations School Support to lead transportation, food service, and athletics and to provide strategic oversight that aligns with district priorities and approved budgets.

This role works closely with school leaders, Learning teams, and central office partners, travels between sites, and reports to the Chief Operations Officer to ensure safe, efficient, and equitable services across IPS schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, education, operations management, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for higher-level leadership roles.
• At least 7 years of progressively responsible operations/education leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Directors of Transportation, Food Service, and Athletics with clear priorities and accountability.
• Serve as primary Operations liaison to Learning division and academic teams.
• Coordinate with schools and leaders on programming and budget implications.
• Review purchasing, contracts, and service delivery for cost effectiveness and compliance.
• Communicate operational requirements clearly to diverse stakeholders.
