Circle K Stores Inc. in the Brandon-Bradenton area is seeking a District Manager Trainee. The role supports store management by coordinating promotions, analyzing performance, and supervising budgets.

You’ll work with Marketing to implement campaigns and help prepare annual forecasts. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in business and 3–5 years of retail experience with at least 2 years in management, strong leadership and communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of retail business experience or more preferred; including minimum of 2 years of management responsibility.
• Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred.
• Must have demonstrated leadership ability, good communication skills, be self-directed, self-motivated and customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide information to store management by recapping promotional activity, reporting business opportunities, results, trends and competitive information.
• Manage controllable costs by educating managers on procedures for controlling merchandise variation, salaries, overtime, cash, repair and maintenance costs.
• Collaborate with Marketing to ensure promotions and new product introductions are implemented and provide feedback to category managers.
• Forecast requirements, prepare annual budget, analyze variances and drive corrective actions; supervise and develop store managers.
