Job summary

Circle K is seeking a Store Manager to oversee operations across the greater Seminole, Lake or Marion County areas. You will lead store teams, implement marketing promotions, manage budgets and ensure financial targets are met.

A background in retail with leadership experience and strong communication is required, along with a valid driver’s license and customer-service orientation. Responsibilities include coaching store managers, recruiting and training, enforcing safety and policy standards,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. Other combinations of education/experience may be substituted.
• 3-5 years of retail business experience or more preferred; including minimum of 2 years of management responsibility.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, good communication skills, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Ability to supervise and train Store Managers in use of store equipment, tools and materials.
• A current valid driver’s license is required to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Recaps promotional activity for store management and reports opportunities, results, trends and competition.
• Manages controllable costs by educating managers on procedures for controlling merchandise variation, salaries, overtime, cash, and other expenses.
• Collaborates with Marketing to implement promotions and new product introductions.
• Provide feedback to category managers regarding stock issues.
• Ensure store operations are profitable by managing cash and merchandise variation, salaries, and other controllable expense lines.
• Forecasts requirements and prepares annual budget; analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions.
• Provides leadership and direction to store managers, assists with recruiting, selection and orientation, and employee development.
• Adheres to policies, safety practices and non-discriminatory management practices.
• Maintains professional knowledge through workshops and professional networks.
