Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking motivated individuals for our District Manager Trainee (DMT) program. Over a 44-week training period, you will gain hands‑on experience preparing to oversee multiple ALDI stores as a district manager, working closely with store managers to drive sales growth and exceptional customer service.

Starting salary is $95,000 with a $5,000 signing bonus and scheduled increases to $110,000, $120,000, and $130,000 in subsequent years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• Ability to lead a team and develop store management.
• Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to interpret company policies and drive results.
• Ability to travel within district.

Responsibilities

• Communicates responsibilities and expectations to store management; leads and develops store management personnel.
• Leads and develops the store manager team to drive sales and high performance.
• Supports store management in fostering a positive working environment and teamwork.
• Develops and implements action plans to improve operating results.
• Coordinates recruitment, selection and staffing for district locations.
• Confers with reports regarding advancement, discipline or termination of personnel.
• Trains and develops direct reports to maximize potential with training materials.
• Observes performance and provides feedback and coaching to store employees.
• Oversees resolution of escalated employee and customer concerns.
• Understands and executes the overarching company strategy and core values.
• Interacts with ALDI employees, customers, vendors and partners.
• Reviews and resolves district issues to minimize liability.
• Ensures compliance with policies and federal/state/local regulations.
• Coaches store personnel to follow customer service guidelines and proper interactions.
• Models and supervises policy compliance.
• Ensures safe working environment by addressing hazards and equipment issues.
• Oversees expense control, inventory procedures and cash handling to minimize losses.
• Maintains store zone and merchandising standards; supervises KPI achievement.
• Plans and conducts district operations meetings and trainings.
