Job summary

ALDI is seeking motivated individuals to join our District Manager Trainee (DMT) program. Over a 44‑week training period, you will gain knowledge and hands‑on experience preparing you to oversee multiple ALDI stores as a district manager.

You will work with store managers to drive customer service, employee engagement, and sales growth across covered areas in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York City area, and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
• Ability to develop rapport, trust, and open communication with direct reports.
• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to store management to ensure desired results.
• Leads, develops, and supervises the assigned store manager team to achieve high performance.
• Supports management in fostering a positive working environment and teamwork.
• Trains and develops direct reports to maximize professional potential.
• Reviews, investigates and resolves issues to minimize liability.
• Oversees adherence to policies, procedures and safety/expense guidelines.
• Plans and conducts district meetings and training sessions as prescribed.
