Job summary

Sun Tan City in Nashville is seeking a District Manager in Training to lead a salon team and deliver exceptional client experiences. You will supervise staff, hire and train, manage scheduling, and ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service quality.

Ideal candidates bring management or sales experience, strong leadership, and the ability to drive results in a dynamic retail environment. A formal college education is preferred but not required, with opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

• College education preferred, but not required.
• Management and/or Sales experience required.
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor while having knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
• Team building skills
• Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Responsibilities

• Developing and coaching employees to provide amazing client experiences.
• Following up swiftly on client concerns and issues.
• Sets a positive example and remains calm during high volume periods.
• Holds team members accountable for quality client service.
• Drives company metrics by developing action plans and communicating them to the salon team.
• Promotes Sun Tan City culture, values, and mission.
• Delegates responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintains salon cleanliness and safety.]
• Manages staffing levels to support development and operations.
• Complies with wage and hour laws for non-exempt staff and minors.
• Uses labor guidelines, reports, cash management and inventory tools to plan and optimize operations.
• Uses financial reports to address trends and issues in salon performance.
• Conducts regular performance assessments and sets goals to improve sales.
• Manages ongoing sales and district operations.
• Works a 5-day, 40-hour week with varying shifts as needed.
• Travels within the district to support other salons.
