Job summary

Sun Tan City is seeking a District Manager in Training to lead a salon team and deliver the Sun Tan City Experience. You will supervise staffing, training, coaching, and daily operations to ensure client satisfaction and safety.

This role requires strong leadership, sales focus, and the ability to manage in a fast-paced environment. Expect travel within the district and a 5-day, 40-hour workweek with opportunities for advancement and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• College education preferred, but not required.
• Management and/or Sales experience required.
• Basic Computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple situations.
• Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor while supervising others.
• Team building skills.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coach employees to provide amazing client experiences.
• Follow up swiftly on client concerns and issues.
• Maintain a positive example and calm demeanor during periods of high volume.
• Display a client-first attitude by holding team members accountable for quality service.
• Drive company metrics by developing action plans and guiding the team.
• Promote Sun Tan City culture with integrity and honesty.
• Plan, communicate, and delegate responsibilities for smooth operations.
• Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation and organization of the salon.
• Manage staffing levels to support development and operations.
• Comply with wage and hour laws for non-exempt staff.
• Use operational tools to plan for excellence (labor guidelines, reports, cash/inventory).
• Analyze financial reports to address trends in salon performance.
• Conduct performance assessments and set goals to improve sales.
• Manage ongoing sales activities.
• Work a 5-day week (40 hours minimum) with variable shifts.
• Travel to other salons within the district as needed.
