Job summary

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) seeks a licensed professional engineer to manage the District 04/Unit 001 program in Bossier Parish. You will oversee scope, budget, design, schedules, and performance, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.

Requires a current Louisiana PE license plus 3 years of licensed PE experience or 7 years of professional engineering experience; advanced degrees may substitute for experience.

Qualifications

• Louisiana PE license required for eligibility.
• Three years of licensed PE experience or seven years of professional engineering experience.
• Licensing in other states allowed if Louisiana license is obtained before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Administers the District-wide highway preservation program with scope, budget, and schedule management.
• Oversees construction plans for pavement preservation and related projects at district level.
• Provides dam safety, drainage, surveying, and storm water oversight in coordination with environmental staff.
• Manages consultant contracts: scope, fees, progress, invoices, and final plan reviews.
• Oversees district surveying program with in-house and contracted survey firms.
