Job summary

Midway Independent School District is seeking a 26-27 ADM Human Resources Director to lead the district HR team in Woodway, Texas. The role reports to the Assistant Superintendent for HR and oversees the Central Office HR functions for 226 district days.

Salary is commensurate with experience, with a strong focus on benefits, staffing, compliance, and development of HR policies. This position requires a Bachelor’s in HR or education, and preferred Texas principal certification or T-TESS

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, or equivalent.
Master’s degree preferred.
Valid Texas Principal certificate preferred.
Certified T-TESS appraiser preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including workflow, staff responsibilities, deadlines, and service quality.
Oversee and coordinate employee performance appraisal system and ensure supervisors have proper training.
Assist with selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of HR staff and make sound recommendations.
Coordinate compensation administration, salary structures, and benefits analyses.
Ensure district compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
Serve as primary operational resource for complex employee matters with HR and legal counsel as needed.
Develop and maintain operating procedures and cross-training plans.
