Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Systems and Services division seeks a District Support Engineer to oversee district office operations, field service manpower, engineering and sales support. You will help manage job schedules, budgets, and forecasts while preparing cost estimates for proposals and negotiating agreements.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical distribution, leadership, and the ability to coordinate with multiple plants and vendors.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with extensive field service experience or equivalent trade school with 9+ years in electrical distribution or control systems
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• No relocation offered within 50 miles of the listed location
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years leading large service engineering projects

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day office operations, field service manpower, engineering and sales support
• Assist in managing district job schedules and backlog, including plans, budgets and timelines
• Develop and implement short-term financial forecasts and annual profit plans
• Prepare cost estimates for proposals and participate in negotiations
• Provide technical support to Field Service Representatives and Operations Coordinators
• Maintain service equipment and ensure inventory supports quick response to calls
• Build and sustain relationships with customers and internal units; coordinate with plants and vendors
• Adhere to Eaton safety programs and training, including QEW certifications
