Sun Communities, Inc. in Grand Rapids is seeking a District Assistant Community Manager to support district operations, including management, office administration and maintenance/grounds, with duties spanning leasing, budgeting and resident relations.

The role covers administrative tasks, marketing, and coordination of LPP programs, ensuring high service levels and compliance with policies. Excellent communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree in Related field (Preferred).
• 2 years in General business and customer service experience (Required).
• 6 months in Prior sales and leasing experience (Preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to respond to community needs during non-business hours.

Responsibilities

• Handles delinquencies and eviction proceedings following policy.
• Monitors, codes and approves invoices for operating expenses and sales related costs.
• Manages rent collection process including posting and deposit of income.
• Handles customer issues promptly through multiple channels.
• Coordinates team member selection and ensures policy compliance.
• Coordinates Lease Purchase Program activities: repairs, leasing, sales, refurbishments, re-leasing, closing.
• Ensures customers and residents receive high levels of service and curb appeal.
• Reviews monthly property accounting reports and explains P&L variances.
• Ensures compliance with fair housing laws and community operations.
• Plans resident events and maintains dealer relationships.
• Handles emergencies onsite and adheres to SOPs.
• Assists in developing marketing strategy and advertising to attract residents.
