OneMain Financial is seeking a Lead Collection Specialist to drive delinquency goals across an assigned district. You will contact customers, negotiate settlements, and partner with branch teams to identify performance trends. Travel to branches within and outside the district is required, with reimbursement per policy.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of collections, consumer lending, financial services, or account resolution.
• Strong customer service, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet performance goals.
• Sound judgment and critical-thinking for informed decisions.
• Ability to influence, coach, and build trust with customers and colleagues.
• Willingness to travel to branches inside and outside the district.
• Successful completion of all required training programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of collection activity across an assigned district to meet delinquency goals.
• Contact customers to understand circumstances and resolve past-due accounts via repayment or settlement.
• Use approved tools to identify customer-focused solutions that support business needs.
• Negotiate effectively while delivering a respectful customer experience.
• Partner with Branch Managers to identify performance trends and provide targeted collections support.
• Train and coach branch staff on delinquency management and collection best practices.
• Collaborate with the District Manager to prioritize support by branch and business needs.
• Maintain accurate, timely account documentation in line with company policies and regulations.
• Travel to branches within and outside the district; travel reimbursed per policy.
