Job summary

Madison District Public Schools seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students, educators, and families across the district. The BCBA will provide behavioral consultation and services, develop FBAs and BIPs, and employ evidence-based strategies for students with moderate to significant behavioral needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field and BCBA certification.
• Active BCBA license/ability to obtain licensure in Michigan.
• Experience with FBAs, BIPs, and data-driven behavior support.

Responsibilities

• Behavior Intervention & Support: Develop and implement comprehensive behavior support strategies, interventions, and programs tailored to individual student needs.
• Collaboration & Consultation: Provide expert guidance to special education teams, parents, students, and community agencies on behavioral concerns and specialized educational needs.
• Direct Student Services: Deliver specialized services for students with moderate to severe behavioral challenges, develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
• Professional Development: Design and facilitate professional development on evidence-based practices for behavior data collection, functional analysis, and other relevant topics.
• Team Participation: Actively contribute to special education teams (e.g., IEP, REED, MET) to promote a collaborative, data-driven approach supporting students in their least restrictive environment.
• MTSS & PBIS Support: Support implementation of MTSS and PBIS practices within special education, promoting positive behavioral and academic outcomes.
• Data-Driven Decision-Making: Guide special education problem-solving through data-based decision-making and use student outcome data to inform and refine behavior intervention plans.
• Family & Community Engagement: Liaise with community agencies specializing in behavioral services for students with disabilities and provide support and resources to parents on positive behavior strategies.
• Compliance & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of services, ensure compliance with special education regulations, and contribute to progress monitoring and reporting.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to advance the goals of the district and support student success.
