Job summary

Madison District Public Schools seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students, educators, and families across the district with behavioral consultation and services. The BCBA will develop FBAs and BIPs and apply evidence-based strategies for students with moderate to significant needs.

The role includes collaboration with special education teams, provision of direct services, and ongoing professional development to staff.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in ABA or related field required and BCBA certification with active status or ability to obtain.
• Active license/certifications to practice as BCBA in the state or jurisdiction.
• Experience with FBAs, BIPs, MTSS and PBIS in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Behavior Intervention & Support: Develop and implement behavior support strategies, interventions, and programs for individual students, small groups, or district-wide.
• Collaboration & Consultation: Provide guidance to special education teams, families, and agencies on behavioral needs.
• Direct Student Services: Deliver services for students with behavioral challenges, develop BIPs, and conduct FBAs.
• Professional Development: Design and deliver training on data collection, functional analysis, and related topics.
• Team Participation: Contribute to IEP/REED/MET teams to support least restrictive environment.
• MTSS & PBIS Support: Support implementation of MTSS and PBIS to improve outcomes.
• Data-Driven Decision-Making: Use data to guide problem-solving and refine plans.
• Family & Community Engagement: Liaise with community agencies and support families on behavior strategies.
• Compliance & Reporting: Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Additional Duties: Perform other district duties to support student success.

Madison District Public Schools seeks a highly skilled, collaborative, and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students, educators, and families. The BCBA will provide behavioral consultation and services across the district, develop and implement Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and utilize evidence-based strategies to support students with moderate to significant behavioral needs.

Education and Experience

• A minimum of a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field and hold an active status as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), or ability to obtain.
• Maintain all valid licenses, certifications, approvals, and registrations required to practice as a BCBA in the State of Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Behavior Intervention & Support:Develop and implement comprehensive behavior support strategies, interventions, and programs tailored to individual student needs, small groups, or a district-wide continuum.
• Collaboration & Consultation:Provide expert guidance to special education teams, parents, students, and community agencies on behavioral concerns and specialized educational needs.
• Direct Student Services:Deliver specialized services for students with moderate to severe behavioral challenges, develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
• Professional Development:Design and facilitate professional development on evidence-based practices for behavior data collection, functional analysis, and other relevant topics.
• Team Participation:Actively contribute to special education teams (e.g., IEP, REED, MET) to promote a collaborative, data-driven approach supporting students in their least restrictive environment.
• MTSS & PBIS Support:Support implementation of MTSS and PBIS practices within special education, promoting positive behavioral and academic outcomes.
• Data-Driven Decision-Making:Guide special education problem-solving through data-based decision-making and use student outcome data to inform and refine behavior intervention plans.
• Family & Community Engagement:Liaise with community agencies specializing in behavioral services for students with disabilities and provide support and resources to parents on positive behavior strategies.
• Compliance & Reporting:Maintain accurate documentation of services, ensure compliance with special education regulations, and contribute to progress monitoring and reporting.
• Additional Duties:Perform other duties as assigned to advance the goals of the district and support student success.
