Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a Distribution Operations leader to direct continuous improvement activities and promote best practices across Air & Ocean, CFS, FTZ, and interdepartmental distribution operations. You will manage up to 7 direct reports and up to 40 indirect reports, overseeing inventory of 50+ clients and 25,000+ SKUs.

The role requires 4-year degree, 5+ years in distribution/warehousing, and strong knowledge of safety, WMS-EDI, and international/domestic operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year degree or equivalent in business.
• 5+ years of experience in Distribution, Warehousing, Shipping, or International Freight Forwarding.
• Advanced knowledge of International and Domestic Distribution operations.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety within an operational division.
• Knowledge in WMS-EDI within Distribution industry.
• Sales and business development skills preferred.
• TSA Certification to operate within a CCSF if applicable.
• Knowledge of IATA, IMDG and 49CFR DG Regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and control input, movement, process/sort, and output of the operations to ensure high service at minimal cost.
• Direct procedures for the proper inventory and storage of over 50 clients merchandise with 25,000+ SKU’s, in accordance with standards and laws.
• Develop/review costs for all Distribution Operational activities.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, US DOT, hazardous materials, customs regulations) and maintain safety programs.
• Manage staff of 1–7 direct reports and up to 40 indirect reports; oversee broader distribution operations.
