The Director of Distribution reporting to the Chief Financial Officer will direct the entire warehousing and distribution activities. The position will develop and implement strategies to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organization goals and performance KPIs related to On Time Delivery to the customers. This position will also coordinate with different departments to identify and understand the distribution needs, set goals and guidelines, manage budgets and schedules, delegate tasks among managers, and develop strategies to optimize operations and present reports. An ideal candidate has proven experience in warehouse management, domestic transportation, 3PL management, stocking management, and/or customer delivery & compliance. The team member will be a critical voice working closely with various departments, providing key context and perspective for customer order delivery and supply chain network design.
Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000
The salary range represents the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and other business considerations. The position may also be eligible for a bonus opportunity in accordance with the Company’s applicable bonus program.
Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation of the two Distribution locations.
- Locate, negotiate, and champion new 3PL’s and flex space warehouses as needed.
- Partners with IT and business solutions service providers to define and improve warehousing system deployments.
- Define the organizational structure needed to support the operational distribution.
- Partner with talent acquisition to identify and hire top talent.
- Partner with training team to onboard and train new hires.
- Work directly with warehouse managers to ensure policies and procedures are developed and adhered to following accreditation and company standards.
- Analyze staffing requirements and develop workforce management strategies aligned with business demands.
- Provide ongoing, continuous management oversight as a coach who is concerned with the growth and development of team members.
- Financial management of all sites includes correct staffing levels, inventory management controls, minimizing customer compliance, cost savings projects and management of building leases.
- Works with Customs Border Patrol to ensure Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) regulations are met in terms of building security and inventory accuracy.Participates in Annual Inspections.
- Navigate a highly matrixed organization using strong relationship building skills and clear communication in both verbal and written form.
- Work with Senior Leadership to identify and drive resolution to any issues that may hinder success.
- Participate in the strategic planning of budgeting and financing of initiatives, especially regarding planning goals for the future.
- Negotiate and implement transportation contracts for the company.
- Partner with all leaders to optimize the organizational structure.
- Develop metrics for self and direct reports that align to the overall objective for the business.
- Ensure performance is tracked accurately utilizing internal tools and processes.
- Provide a safe working environment and culture.
- Conduct deep dive reviews with relevant internal/external stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure that business continuity/emergency response plans are reviewed and tested regularly, up-to-date, and can be readily executed.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Communication or related area of study
- Experience with WMS, ERP, MRP, and TMS systems preferred but not required
- 10+ years of warehousing or operation management experience
- Automated fulfillment design and picking experience preferred but not required
