Job summary

• APICS CLTD certification preferred.
• 10+ years of distribution/logistics leadership experience.
• 5+ years leading warehouse/distribution center operations.
• Experience with ERP/WMS; D365 experience preferred.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead distribution and logistics operations to ensure accurate, on-time, and cost-effective product flow.
• Oversee warehouse and distribution center operations including receiving, storage, shipping, picking, and material handling.
• Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient facility operations.
• Drive inventory accuracy, cycle counting, transactional accuracy, and FIFO discipline.
• Oversee return processes including vendor returns, customer returns, inspection coordination, and disposition management.
• Optimize transportation strategy, carrier relationships, freight routing, and shipping costs.
• Implement Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, throughput, and space utilization.
• Evaluate distribution network capacity and space utilization to support future operational needs.
• Utilize ERP and warehouse management systems to improve operational visibility and control.
• Partner closely with manufacturing, planning, procurement, quality, and customer service teams.
• Support operational changes, demand fluctuations, and new product launches through effective distribution planning.
• Develop and lead high-performing warehouse and logistics teams with strong accountability and engagement

Position Overview

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Director of Distribution & Logistics to lead end-to-end distribution operations including warehousing, transportation, inventory flow, order fulfillment, inspection processes, and returns management. This position reports directly to senior operations leadership and is responsible for driving operational excellence, inventory accuracy, service levels, and cost optimization across the distribution network.

This role will oversee warehouse and distribution center operations including receiving, storage, picking, shipping, material handling, transportation coordination, and reverse logistics processes while partnering cross-functionally with manufacturing, planning, procurement, quality, and customer service teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field required
• APICS CLTD certification preferred
• 10+ years of distribution, logistics, or supply chain leadership experience
• 5+ years leading warehouse or distribution center operations
• Experience within manufacturing or hybrid manufacturing/distribution environments
• Proven operational improvement and cost reduction experience
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, transportation, warehouse operations, and reverse logistics
• Experience with ERP/WMS systems; D365 experience preferred
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate effectively in both office and warehouse environments
• Periodic travel required

Compensation

• Base salary $145K to $165K
• Bonus opportunity available
