Job summary

New Balance is seeking a Day shift Leader to supervise the distribution team, drive safety, quality, delivery and cost goals, and uphold the company’s leadership values. You will manage workloads, develop talent, and report on performance within a fast-paced distribution center in Lawrence, MA.

The role requires 3–5 years in leadership within distribution, strong knowledge of WMS, and fluency in English. Competitive pay and a broad benefits package accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years of leadership in distribution.
• Strong knowledge of distribution processes and WMS systems.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking of English.
• Good communication and professional demeanor.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with RF scanners.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned area associates to process work accurately and timely; assign workloads.
• Develop and maintain an effective organization through selection, training, and motivation.
• Set standards for processes; measure and report weekly.
• Manage WMS functions and related systems.
• Ensure safety, productivity, and continuous improvement programs.
• Maintain and distribute DC metrics reports.
• Lead process improvement projects and coordinate resources.
• Interview, hire and terminate in coordination with HR.
• Train and remove barriers to goals; coordinate with other groups.
• Track hours, discipline, and time off via Workday and TeamSense.
