Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a Distribution Operations leader responsible for directing input, movement, and output of distribution activities. You will develop a team, implement SOPs, and coordinate cross-border and FTZ operations while ensuring safety and cost-effective service.

You will oversee staff development, communicate issues to management, and maintain accurate inventories and reports to support performance reviews and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 year associates or college degree preferred/equivalent in business.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in Distribution, Warehousing, Shipping, or International Freight Forwarding, or Transportation Industry.
• Strong knowledge of International and Domestic Distribution Operational activities.
• Minimum 1 year leadership role required.
• Strong management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety awareness within an operational division.
• TSA Certification to operate within a CCSF if applicable.
• IATA, IMDG and 49CFR DG Regulations preferred.
• Experience in sales and 3rd party Warehouse Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and control input, movement, process/sort, and output of operations to deliver service at low cost.
• Select, train and develop a staff of 1 to 15 direct reports.
• Makes recommendations to management to improve workflow and results.
• Implement FedEx SOPs and ensure standards are maintained site-wide.
• Assist in staff development through daily oversight and hands-on training.
• Communicate serious client problems or delays to management immediately.
