Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Distribution Manager in the Fort Lauderdale area to oversee the municipal water distribution system, ensuring regulatory compliance and KPI-driven results. You will lead workforce development, coordinate procurement, and manage planning to meet project goals while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires extensive field experience, a valid distribution license plus CDL, and strong budget and vendor management skills.

Qualifications

• Valid distribution license is required.
• 10 years in distribution systems construction, maintenance, and operation.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required with clean record.
• Experience reading maps, drawings, and GIS.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in water/wastewater.
• Budget planning and cost tracking experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operation and maintenance of municipal water distribution system.
• Ensure KPI-based contract deliverables are met and issues resolved.
• Develop staff to meet project requirements and safety standards.
• Oversee ordering and planning of project needs.
• Coordinate with client and suppliers to ensure value and compliance.
• Manage on-call schedule and after-hours coordination.
• Prepare schedules with Project Director approval.
